DESCRIPTION: This ministry proclaims the scripture readings at Mass and other liturgies throughout the year with reverence and understanding. It recruits, trains and schedules ministers to proclaim the readings from scripture and petitions at Mass and other liturgical celebrations.

The Lector Ministry of St. Joseph Catholic Church is comprised of over 50 church Their ages range from teens to octogenarians all of whom have had Lector Training, practice and coaching before ever approaching the Ambo to proclaim the Word.

Lector schedules are printed on a quarterly basis and are posted here on the webpage.

Members are now able to see their assignments, mark their calendars and practice their readings.

The next Lector Training session will be on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Anyone considering the Lector Ministry and especially anyone wanting to serve at the Saturday 5pm or Sunday 8am Masses should consider attending the workshop
